Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

2009 is the year of new beginnings, and we are pressing, pursuing, and recovering all that God has promised us! It is my prayer that you are prepared for the new beginning that God is bringing to your life. An opportunity has been placed before you, what you do with it is up to you!

In this year, God has promised to make all things new, but we also have some responsibilities in this process. Let us shake off old habits, old excuses, and old attitudes, and embrace the new thing that God has promised to us.

Your destiny depends on your willingness to start anew. You may have allowed your spiritual life to become stagnate in the past. Failure to communicate with God through fasting and prayer and reading God’s word will cause your spiritual growth to become stunted. Stir up the gift that God has placed within you and start over! Your latter will be greater than your past! Your destiny is ahead of you! Stop focusing on what has happened before, so that you can move forward. You may have experienced failure in your past. It happened! You can’t change it, so get over it—and move on!

In writing to the church at Philippi, the Apostle Paul said, “I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”. Let us prepare to move into the future, knowing that we already possess every promise God has made for us. As his children, we are fully persuaded that, what he has promised, he is able to perform (Romans 4:21).

Be encouraged my brothers and sisters, and embrace what God is doing in you and through you in 2009. Get ready for a new beginning as we Press, Pursue, and Recover It All!
